Is there anyway to stop them from happening? A couple weeks ago, I had a few panic attacks and didn't feel like going ANYWHERE. I wanted to stay home. I was sad most of the week because I felt like shit.

It stopped for a while but 2 days ago it randomly starts again. I had a panic attack today and almost had one yesterday. I really want this shit to stop I am so miserable.

My mom gave me vitamins and I take them but I still feel bad.

    Did these attacks start recently?
Do you think they have anything to do with the stress your brother brings to you?
Is there anywhere you can go and stay for a while outside of the house if that is the sort of thing that sounds good to you?

I know you are in a majorly stressful environment.

I have panic attacks on a semi-regular basis, for various reasons.

Easiest thing is to just wait them out. They're one of the reasons I'm on antidepressants.

It started the week after the last week of school. I started getting shortage of breath (part of panic attacks) and would freak out and my legs would shake and I would almost cry. At the time, I had no idea what was happening to me, but my dad looked up anxiety online and he read me symptoms and I had most of them. I'm going to the doctor this Thursday so maybe I can get meds that will help me.

When I have a panic attack I have a sudden fear of dying. I feel like I'm going to die, or have to go to the hospital (I am dealthy afraid of having to go in an ambulance to the hospital O.O). I get a shortage of breath and I start freaking out and crying. Happened earlier today when my mom got home. It happened RIGHT AFTER I drank a full glass of Dr. Pepper. Me and my mom think it has something to do with caffiene (sp?) so I'm going to stop drinking sodas. I don't drink coffee so I won't have to worry about that

I MIGHT have to get antidepressants... are there side-effects? (I hate side-effects)

I'd actually never heard of panic attacks until reading this thread. I've neve had any panic attacks. Ever. But i live in one of the least stressful environments imaginable. I think its best for you to try and escape the source of the stress. Try climbing onto the roof and cool down up there. It works when i'm feeling stressed.

    Everything has side-affects.
I take Celexa and Propranolol for anxiety, paranoia, and severe depression, they help a lot.
Mine don't take away the negative emotions, but they prevent the negative reactions --- panic attacks, sobbing, fits of rage (The last time I forgot to take my Celexa, I broke the front door). The negative emotions are still there, but they're tolerable and not "negative", I can't explain it properly.
It also seems to numb out the good emotions, unless they're stimulated --- something causes them. Sometimes I think to myself about things that make me happy, and since I've been on my pills, they don't make me that happy anymore.

As for physical side affects, the side affects for my pills (Citalopram, Celexa) are:
    • Decreased libido
    • Diarrhea
    • Dizziness
    • Drowsiness
    • Dry mouth
    • Increased sweating
    • Lightheadedness
    • Loss of appetite
    • Nausea
    • Stuffy nose
    • Lethargy

But I haven't had any of them except lethargy, which is just increased tiredness.

As for other pills, can't help you there.

Your doctor might prescribe you propranolol, it's a blood pressure pill, calms you down. That shit's harmless, you've got nothing to worry about. If you get side affects, tell your doctor and they'll give you something else.
